The Virtue Of Glorifying Allah

qiyam al lail

It was narrated from Nu’man bin Bashir that :
the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“What you mention of glory of Allah, of Tabsih (Subhan-Allah), Tahlil (Allahu-Akbar) and Tahmid (Al-Hamdu lillah), revolves around the Throne, buzzing like bees, reminding of the one who said it.
Wouldn’t any one of you like to have, or continue to have, something that reminds of him (in the presence of Allah)?'”
Sunan Ibn Majah 3809

This is for the Countenance (Face) of Allah

Untitled design (2)

Just Imagine whenever you are tired, you give up. Remember these few words

I am doing this……..

For the Pleasure of Allah.

For seeing the Face of Allah when I Return to Him.

For the Countenance of Allah.

Alhamdullilah ala kulli hal.

Abu Musa reported:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was standing amongst us and he told us five things. He said:

Verily the Exalted and Mighty Allah does not sleep, and it does not befit Him to sleep. He lowers the scale and lifts it. The deeds in the night are taken up to Him before the deeds of the day, and the deeds of the day before the deeds of the night. His veil is the light. In the hadith narrated by Abu Bakr (instead of the word “light” ) it is fire. If he withdraws it (the veil), the splendour of His countenance would consume His creation so far as His sight reaches.

Sahih Muslim 179a

Abdullah b. Qais transmitted on the authority of his father (Abu Musa Ash’ari) that the Apostle (ﷺ) said:

There would be two gardens (in Paradise) the vessels and contents of which would be of silver, and two gardens whose vessels and contents would be of gold.

The only thing intervening to hinder the people from looking at their Lord will be the mantle of Grandeur over His face in the Garden of Eden.

Sahih Muslim 180

Sa’d bin Hisham narrated that:

Aishah mentioned that the Messenger of Allah said:

“Whoever loves to meet Allah, then Allah loves to meet him. And whoever dislikes meeting Allah, then Allah dislikes meeting him.”

She said: “O Messenger of Allah! All of us dislike death.”

He said: “It is not like that. But when the believer is given the good news of Allah’s mercy, His pleasure, and His Paradise, then he loves to meet Allah and Allah loves to meet him.

Whereas when the disbeliever is given the news of Allah’s punishment and His wrath, he dislikes meeting Allah, and Allah dislikes meeting him.”

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1067

It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“The greatest reward comes with the greatest trial.

When Allah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts that wins His pleasure but whoever is discontent with that earns His wrath.”

Sunan Ibn Majah 4031

Deeds which are done seeking Allah’s Countenance

1. Salat

Narrated Jarir bin `Abdullah

We were with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a full moon night. He looked at the moon and said,

“You will certainly see your Lord as you see this moon, and there will be no trouble in seeing Him. So if you can avoid missing (through sleep, business, etc.)

a prayer before the rising of the sun (Fajr) and before its setting (`Asr) you must do so. He (the Prophet (ﷺ) ) then recited the following verse:

And celebrate the praises Of Your Lord before The rising of the sun And before (its) setting.” (50.39)

Sahih al Bukhari 573

Umm Habibah (May Allah be pleased with her) the Mother of the Believers reported:

I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying,

“A house will be built in Jannah for every Muslim who offers twelve Rak’ah of optional Salat other than the obligatory Salat in a day and a night (to seek the Pleasure of Allah).”

Riyad as Saliheen

Hadith 107

2. Dhikr

Narrated `Utban bin Malik Al-Ansari:

who was one of the men of the tribe of Bani Salim:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) came to me and said, “If anybody comes on the Day of Resurrection who has said: La ilaha illal-lah, sincerely, with the intention to win Allah’s Pleasure, Allah will make the Hell-Fire forbidden for him.

Sahih al-Bukhari 6423

3. Fasting

Narrated Abu Sa`id:

I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, “Indeed, anyone who fasts for one day for Allah’s Pleasure, Allah will keep his face away from the (Hell) fire for (a distance covered by a journey of) seventy years.”

Sahih al-Bukhari 2840

 4. Charity

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Wealth is not diminished by giving (in charity).

Allah augments the honour of one who forgives; and one who displays humbleness towards another seeking the pleasure of Allah, Allah exalts him in ranks.”

Riyad as Saliheen

Hadith 556

5. General Behaviour

Ibn ‘Umar said,

“There is nothing that is swallowed greater with Allah in reward than a slave of Allah who swallows and contains his rancour out of desire for the pleasure of Allah.”

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1318

And Allah is the Source of Strength.

Angels rush to see…

Sahih Muslim (17)

It was narrated that Rifa’ah bin Rafi said:
“We were praying behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) one day and when he raised his head from bowing he said:
‘Sami Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears the one who praises Him).’
A man behind him said: ‘Rabbana wa lakal-hamd, hamdan kathiran tayyiban mubarakan fih.
(O our Lord, and to You be praise, much blessed and pure praise.)’
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had finished, he said:
“Who is the one who spoke just now?”
The man said: ‘I did, O Messenger of Allah.’
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘I saw thirty-some angels rushing to see which of them would write it down first.'”
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“When the Imam says: ‘Sami Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears the one who praises Him),’
then say: ‘Rabbana wa lakal-hamd,’ (Our Lord, and to You be the praise).’
Whoever says that and it coincides with the angels saying it, his previous sins will be forgiven.”

Surah Ash-Shu’ara

My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction.- (8)

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ

83. [And he said], “My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.

وَاجْعَلْ لِي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ

84. And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.

وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ

85. And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure.

وَلَا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ

87. And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected –

Surah Ash-Shua’ra

verses 83-85, 87

Surah At Tawbah

There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves. Grievous to him is what you suffer; [he is] concerned over you and to the believers is kind and merciful.

But if they turn away, [O Muhammad], say, “Sufficient for me is Allah ; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne.”
Surah At-Tawbah
The Repentance
verse 128-129

Surah Isra

My Lord, forgive me and my parents and whoever enters my house a believer and the believing men and believing women. And do not increase the wrongdoers except in destruction.- (4)

My Lord! Cause me to enter a sound entrance and to exit a sound exit and grant me from your self a supporting authority.

Surah Al-Isra’:80
